Belov noted that many manufacturers are ready for the next stage of introduction of electronic veterinary certification for finished dairy products, which starts since November 1, 2019.
At the same time, the labeling of dairy products, an experiment to launch which is currently taking place, can really affect the increase in the cost of production by 2.5-3%, he said. "However, this experiment has not yet been completed, and its results have not been analyzed. Accordingly, the decision on the possible timing and feasibility of the introduction of mandatory labeling has not been made yet — in any case, it will not happen before the middle of next year", believes Belov.
As previously reported, since July 1, 2019, part of dairy products was included into the system of electronic veterinary certification "Mercury", and since November 1, it should include the remaining dairy products.
