Investors from the Netherlands are considering options for cooperation in the construction of a dairy complex in Samara region
On December 3, on the basis of the Agency on investment generation there was held a meeting of the Dutch delegation with representatives of the Executive authorities of Samara region, relevant development institutions and enterprises. The government of the region, LLC "Radna" and the Investment Association of Dutch farmers signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of the project in the field of dairy farming. The project provides the creation of a high-tech complex for 2,400 heads of dairy cattle and it is planned to invest more than 3 billion rubles in it. It may result in creation of 240 jobs. The project implementation period is eight years. It is expected that the complex will be built within two years, and the partners intend to start harvesting forages in the spring of 2019.
Acting first Deputy Chairman of the government of Samara region Viktor Kudryashov noted the timeliness of the creation of a new large-scale enterprise for the residents of Samara region and for neighboring regions: "this project is very important for Samara region. We want to develop not only the production but also the processing of milk. At present, a number of normative documents that stimulate the development of this activity have been adopted. Next, we plan to provide state support within the framework of the legislation of the Russian Federation".
"We have been working in Russia for 15 years, and our countries have something to offer each other. In particular, within the framework of this project we are ready to provide genetic material to increase the number of animals in the herd, milking equipment and management solutions. With the support provided by the governments of the Netherlands and Samara region, we are confident that this will be a major and successful project.
During the visit of representatives of the Dutch delegation to Samara region it is also planned to visit one of the largest operating dairy complexes in the region, as well as the site prepared for the construction of a livestock complex. The guests will get acquainted with the technical equipment of the enterprise, the production process and assess the prospects of investment cooperation", - said the General Director of the Association of Dutch farmers Gerben Vibe de Boer.
