Irina Makeeva, Head of the Laboratory of Standardization, Metrology and Patent and Licensing works of VNIMI (All-Russian Research Institute of Dairy Industry), has left her post. The expert reported this on her Facebook page, The DairyNews reports.
‘My colleague and I wrote a resignation letter today and said goodbye to VNIMI. I have worked for 33 years; I have had friends, colleagues, students there ... It burns,’ the expert wrote on her FACEBOOK page.
Irina Makeeva started her scientific activity in the postgraduate course of the All-Russian Research Institute of Dairy Industry. After that, difficult times came for science and Irina Makeeva had to leave VNIMI. In 1997, the expert was invited to revive the standardization laboratory. The laboratory had to be created almost from scratch. In parallel, in 1998, the Technical Committee for Standardization of TC 186 "Milk and Dairy Products" was created.
