Kaluga region intends to produce one million tons of milk per year
According to the press service of the regional administration, welcoming the participants and guests, the Head of the region noted the significant achievements of Kaluga farmers, stressing that they are successful due to the introduction of new technologies. He also thanked the investors who invest in agricultural production.
In this regard, Artamonov cited as the example the activity of the holding “EkoNiva” the devisions of which are on the territories of a number of areas of Chernozem region, however the highest grain yield this year was received on the fields of Kaluga region.
"Peremyshl district has overtaken all other districts by crop yield and milk yield – the average milk yield in the region is around 9 thousand liters per cow. The highest yield was the yield of grain, 70 centers per round. This suggests that the door to success is open for everyone", said the head of Kaluga region.
Speaking about the prospects for the development of dairy farming and beef cattle, Artamonov urged farmers not to slow down and increase gross figures.
"It is not the first year that we have been ranked the first in the country in terms of milk production, but this is the dynamics. We must produce a million tons of milk in Kaluga region — this is our goal", he added.
Festive events of "Kaluga autumn-2018" will last until September 16. Kaluga residents and guests of the city will be able to get acquainted with the advanced achievements of agriculture in the region, try the products of Kaluga producers and buy their favorite products.
