Komos Group will be fully ready for the second stage of labeling of dairy products on September 1
Now the enterprises are completing preparations for the introduction of digital labeling of dairy products with a shelf life of more than 40 days. Currently, labeling equipment is being supplied, software is being deployed and configured, and commissioning is being carried out.
In total, by September 1, sixteen production lines will be equipped with the appropriate equipment at five enterprises – Izhmoloko, Sarapul-moloko, Glazov-moloko, Kezsky cheese factory and Kazan dairy plant. All sterile products (UHT-milk, cream, milkshakes), whey drinks, milk powder and whey powder, packaged butter and condensed milk fall under the new requirements. This is about 40% of the total production of the dairy subholding of JSC Milсom.
The main method used is labeling directly on the packaging of products in the production process using printers or label applicators, depending on the performance of the line and the form factor of the packaging of products.
Earlier, we reported that on the eve of the introduction of the second stage of labeling since September 1, 2021, Vladimir Skvortsov, Head of the department of state support for the food and processing industry of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, said on a direct line that the supply of equipment for applying labeling codes was delayed at the first stage of labeling and a similar situation is happening now.
We also wrote that Kezsky cheese factory, which is part of the holding Komos Group, has started commissioning and trial production on a new line.
