Konstantin Sukharev: labeling will require large investments
- Labeling will require large investments, besides, it is unclear how the authorities will exclude duplication of functions of the "Honest mark" with the "Mercury" system. If labeling allows to do so that electronic veterinary certification controlled only raw materials, thus there is simple and transparent process of integration of labeling and electronic veterinary certification, the system can be useful. However, the costs are really significant. And if the state has decided to introduce labeling of dairy products, it should think about the support of producers, - said Konstantin Sukharev.
It should be reminded that currently finished dairy products are mandatory for electronic veterinary certification and are sold through the “Mercury” system, operated by the Rosselkhoznadzor.
According to the Head of "Pyatigorsky dairy plant", the company communicates with the operator of labeling, the Center of Advanced Technology Dedelopment (CATD), but decided not to take part in the pilot experiment.
- At our plant, the automation of production is initially very high and labeling is not a new thing for us. However, a number of unresolved problems remain. For example, it is unclear how the QR code will be read from the film packaging of milk, how the weight products will be labeled, - said Konstantin Sukharev.
As it became known, at the beginning of the week, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order introducing finished dairy products in the list of mandatory labeling.
The document is published on the Government website.
According to the text of the order, since December 1, 2020, the circulation of finished dairy products without labeling will be prohibited.
