Krasnodar region is the leader in the production of drinking milk
The top ten producers of drinking milk among Russian regions also includes Moscow region with Moscow (the production decline in 2019 amounted to - 4.6%), Tatarstan (+10.6% compared to 2018), Krasnoyarsk region (+12% compared to 2018), Sverdlovsk region (-3.7% compared to 2018), Leningrad region with St Petersburg (-12.8% compared to 2018), Nizhny Novgorod region (+20.5% compared to 2018), Udmurtia (-0,1% compared to 2018), Kemerovo region (-11% compared to 2018) and Belgorod region (-4,3% compare to 2018).

Among the Federal districts for the production of drinking milk, the Volga Federal district is the leader, where 1,448 thousand tons of the product were produced, which is 5.4% less than in 2018. Also, the production of drinking milk in 2019 in the North-Western Federal district decreased by 6.8%. The biggest increase in production of drinking milk was observed in the Far Eastern Federal district +10,7%, in the Urals, the production growth amounted to +2.8%, in the North Caucasus Federal district +0.9%, in the Siberian Federal district +0,7%, in the Central Federal district +0.4%, in the Southern Federal district +0,8%.
In total, 5.4 million tons of drinking milk were produced in Russia in 2019, which is 1.5% lower than in 2018.
