Last year, the production of raw milk increased by 865 thousand tons - Dmitry Patrushev
‘At the same time, the average yield from one cow exceeded 6.7 tons,’ the minister noted. ‘New projects are being implemented throughout the country. Even last year, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic, 153 farms and dairy complexes were built, modernized and put into operation.
In addition, the development of dairy production allows us to increase the export potential of the agro-industrial complex. In 2020, dairy products worth $ 318 million were delivered abroad – an increase of 11% compared to 2019. Traditionally, Russian cheeses, fermented dairy products and ice cream are in demand on the world markets. In 2021, the volume of exports of dairy products has already reached $ 158 million – the dynamics is higher than in the same period last year.
‘The state is building a platform for systematic support of dairy farming and annually allocates significant amounts of federal budget funds to this sub-sector. Now farmers have access to a set of measures to increase the productivity of animals, carry out technical and technological modernization and development of livestock breeding. In 2020, the volume of state support for the dairy sector from the federal budget amounted to 37.3 billion rubles. This year, all the tools have been preserved,’ Dmitry Patrushev said.
In addition, Dmitry Patrushev focused on milk processing, which has also seen positive dynamics in recent years. In particular, the production of cream, ice cream, cheeses, cottage cheese, butter, and processed milk increased in 2020. This year, the growth in the main types of dairy products continues.
Earlier, we reported that the capacity of the new dairy complex of the Group of companies Agropromkomplektatsiya is 190 tons per day.
