"LavkaLavka" is on the verge
According to the website "E-justice" (arbitr.u), currently a number of claims about the recovery of funds from "LavkaLavka" were accepted in the court of first instance. Among them there is the current enforcement proceedings (over the past two months) from LLC GSK (Moscow) amounting to 52.4 thousand rubles; LLC "Trans-regional Outsourcing Company", - the claim for 90.3 thousand rubles, LLC "Kraftee" requires to recover 131 thousand rubles; LLC TH "Baikalskaya voda" - 77 thousand rubles; individual entrepreneur Borisenkov - 66 thousand rubles; individual entrepreneur Maltsev - 27 thousand rubles. According to sources of The DairyNews, the cooperative refuses to pay for deliveries of products, they did not reply to the request of the publisher about the cooperative. LavkaLavka is a member of IFOAM (international Federation of organic farming) since 2016 and is one of the largest organizations promoting farm products in Russia. Earlier, Boris Akimov spoke about the activities of the "Lavka": "This is a farm cooperative that allows farmers to find their buyers, and buyers to find their farmers. It is a living social network where farmers and consumers can communicate freely. This is a social project aimed at the emergence of new agricultural and gastronomic culture in Russia and in the world".
As told by the farmer Sergey Balaev, his farm started to work with "LavkaLavka" since the first day of their existence.
- Even when they ordered five liters of milk, I brought the milk from Orel and did not get any profit. They told me stories all the time, how good I would feel working with them later. When they stopped paying money, I told them I would stop supplying milk. There were more orders from them after that for about two more months, but I didn't supply milk. Each of the new leaders promised to pay - starting from Zavarykin, who left them. I was ready to wait. Before leaving each of the leaders called me and apologized by saying “I promised to pay you, but we can't do anything, I am not paid as well so I leave without money. It has lasted for about two years, - the farmer noted.
According to him, within the last year and a half "Lavka" went to regions - "to collect products from farmers who don't know them, form debts making people face the fact that if they don’t supply, they won't repay a debt".
- I come to a warehouse, and storekeepers ask – why I brought the products if the products delivered earlier were not sold yet and the shelf life has expired? Initially, they owed me 150 thousand rubles and then the amount decreased to about 90 - I don’t know for sure, the last six months I just decided to leave the situation as it is. If we get together the people they owe to, we need to work together. I would try again to get the money back – for the sake of principle, - said Sergey Balaev, the owner of the farm "Ecoderevushka".
According to Balayev, he is ready to defend the interests of other farmers in a similar situation.
According to him, initially, "LavkaLavka" worked incorrectly, they should have followed the example of Izbyonka, whose owner which drove the milk in the trunk himself at the beginning.
However, many of the suppliers agree that initially the founders of "LavkaLavka" have contributed to the promotion of farming in Russia.
- As for cooperation with the cooperative "LavkaLavka", I can say that the last delivery of products from us to them was carried out in April 2018, and the last payment from them took place in February the same year. Their debt has not changed since then. To our endless calls and requests to pay, we hear the same thing - we will pay everything, we have a difficult situation, do not file a lawsuit against us, because it is our common business, we do not refuse the commitments. Boris Akimov and Vasily Panshin, the founders of "Lavka" - apologists of the farming movement in Russia and it is worth saying that thanks to them a lot has happened in the farming of Russia for the better, they have made a huge contribution to the formation of a positive image of farm products. But now the situation is very difficult and not very beautiful, - said the owner of the "Cheese Factory" Maria Koval.
Talking about disadvantages of running the business in "LavkaLavka" farmers, questioned by The DairyNews, call a wrong policy and a gigantic margin. At the same time, there are such networks as "Milka and Zorka", "Izbyonka", showing stable operation and having careful approach to the issue of margins and quality.
According to the founder of the farm "Syr-Bor Maslovka" Vladimir Borev, they never supply their products to "LavkaLavka", and they rejected the proposal to become a supplier, because they considered the working scheme of the cooperative to be not effective.
The former supplier of the cooperative told the following on condition of anonymity:
- We haven't worked with them for a long time. About three or four years ago, we decided to stop cooperation – payments were always delayed. Moreover, we are not the only ones who were dissatisfied with the cooperation. We cook cheese, and this is a time-consuming process: it is necessary to buy milk and to make cheese. We cannot wait for payments from partners for a long time, and this is not correct. Today all our partners make payment within 10 days, such term suits us, - noted the representative of the market.
Meanwhile, not all suppliers mention problems with payment for supplies. Cheesemaker Alex Andreev stressed that he is working with "LavkaLavka" and all payments are received on time.
At the time of publication, the founder of the cooperative Boris Akimov could not be contacted. Vasily Panshin stressed that the issue of payment to suppliers will be resolved in the next two weeks.
According to SPARK, the income of LLC "LavkaLavka" in 2017 amounted to 27 million rubles, in the associated legal entities of LLC “Lavka” (main activity - retail trade) income amounted to 80 million rubles, at an expense of 90 million rubles.
