Lely launches the plant for the production of milking robots in Kaluga
"The equipment for the shop of assembling robots has already been completed, the production will begin in the near future," said Leonid Gromov, Minister of agriculture, today during the workshop of the regional government members.
As the Minister explained, the enterprise is being created on the basis of the Kaluga plant "Autoelectronics". It is not reported how many robots will be produced.
The regional program "100 robotic dairy farms" has been implemented in Kaluga region since 2013. According to the program, the region provides the farm holdings with the necessary infrastructure and all communications. In addition, 40% of the costs of the farmer to purchase a robot, the region compensates from the budget.
After a year of implementation, the program showed its effectiveness, and there was a need to create an enterprise in Kaluga for assembling robots. The initiative to create such production was made by Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov. Even then, the Dutch company Lely expressed its intention to open a plant for the production of robotic systems in Kaluga region.
At present, 129 robots operate on 36 farms in the region. By the end of 2018, it is planned to put into operation at least 12 robots on 4 farms.
