LLC Megaferma Sheremetyevo may become a part of ASB group by the end of the year
We will remind that a major Russian milk producer, the agricultural holding Krasny Vostok, founded by Ayrat Khairullin, a State Duma Deputy from United Russia, who died in early 2020, began selling off its assets. In addition to the farm Sheremetyevo, ASB group may also acquire the rights to LLC Pichaevo-Niva, also located in Tambov region.
‘The deal will be completed before December 31. During these months, it is possible that the company will be acquired by Yuri Khokhlov, founder and CEO of ASB holding. The entire share - 100% of the company - will be sold,’ said a representative of Megafarm Sheremetyevo.
According to the Agroinvestor, the history of the ASB Group began in 1999, when it became part of the Kirsanovsky sugar plant Kristall, also located in Tambov region. Since 2000, the company began to expand through the acquisition of assets, now ASB unites seven enterprises in Voronezh, Tambov, Penza and Volgograd regions. The land bank of the group is 291 thousand hectares, and ASB enterprises produce sugar, molasses, and bottled sunflower oil.
The purchase of the assets of the dairy production facilities of Krasny Vostok may mean that the group of companies will enter a new segment of agriculture.
We will remind, earlier we reported that Megafarm "Sheremetyevo is mentioned in the list of 13 megafarms of Krasny Vostok, designed for 4-8 thousand head of cattle. In the rating of the Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA), Krasny Vostok takes the 13th place.
