President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that some difficulties with the supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs to the Russian market are connected not with its quality, but with the fact that producers from neighboring country sometimes cannot compete.
He stated this during the visit to Mogilev.
"They can't compete with us because we have established good enterprises. Take the "Grandmother's Krynka", it is the Mogilev company. It is a brand of Belarus, one of the best companies in the world, they produce wonderful products. This is a great company, and we have many of those," - said Lukashenko.
According to the President, "they (the Russians) are unable to compete with us". "If in Russia there are economic problems, they will affect Belarus, since a significant part of products is supplied there, not everything depends on us", - he said.
Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed restrictions on imports of dairy and meat products from some companies of Belarus, urging to join the program of early laboratory alerts (Cyrano), with the help of which in the online mode, you can learn the results of laboratory tests of the supplied products to Russia.
In February, President Lukashenko demanded from the investigating authorities of the Republic to initiate a criminal case against the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor "for damages to the state." After that Russia imposed a ban on exports of beef and beef offal from Minsk region of Belarus. This measure became necessary due to the fact that the Belarusian enterprises supplied to Russia Ukrainian and European products that are prohibited to import.
