"Lukoz" will bring the herd to 20 thousand dairy goats

The firm "Lukoz" aims to increase the number of goats to 20 thousand dairy animals. This was announced by Taras Kozhanov, Director of LLC "Lukoz Saba" during the "Golden Autumn".
Today "Lukoz" has got 6500 animals.
"A couple of years ago, we received a patent for the factory Mari type of Saanen goat (it never happened in tsarist Russia). Our next goal is a baby food factory. We already produce cottage cheese for children from 6 months. We also want to increase the number to 20,000 dairy animals, having production in Tatarstan and processing in Yoshkar-Ola", - said Taras Kozhanov.
The expert mentioned a few problems of dairy goats breeding. «Social insurance for a goat is more than for cows, there are practically no specialists in goat breeding. There is an electronic record for cows but there isn’t any for goats. It is not fair to demand developing the record from ourselves, we don't have such a scale that cattle breeders have", - said Taras Kozhanov.
"We need to learn to get the product at a competitive cost," - said Taras Kozhanov, also noting that the situation of the industry would improve through the reduction of control by the Supervisory authorities.
