Lyudmila Manitskaya: the share of falsified dairy products in Russia amounted to almost 24% by the end of April

The share of falsified products in the Russian dairy market this year, as of April 30, amounted to almost 24%. For the whole last year the figure was 19.4%, reported Executive Director of the Dairy Union Lyudmila Manitskaya to "Interfax" with reference to the data of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
The Union considered doubtful the data of the Rospotrebnadzor, published yesterday.
"Since the beginning of the year 5 765 batches of milk and dairy products have been inspected, of which 1,376 batches, or 23.87%, did not correspond to the quality composition that their manufacturer claimed, in other words — were falsified", she said.
L. Manitskaya said that of the total number of tested batches 5 023 batches were made in Russia, of which 1, 324 batches or 26.36% (23,1% by the end of 2017) did not correspond to the claimed composition.
According to the Head of the Dairy Union, the situation with falsified milk and dairy products in circulation is different in the regions. The "leaders" included Omsk region with a share of falsification of 31.8%, Novosibirsk region — 31.7%, Orenburg region — 29.1%, Krasnoyarsk region — 26.1%, Samara region — 24.6%, Orel region — 22.1%, Kaliningrad region — 21.05%. There are serious issues in a number of regions of the Central Federal district. Thus, in Moscow the share of falsified products in circulation was 20.4%.
"The doubtful leadership in the production of falsified products is occupied by Chelyabinsk region, where, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor, out of the 108 tested batches of products produced in the region there were claims to 53, or 49.1% — said L. Manitskaya. - The same list includes Samara region with a share of falsification among manufacturers of 47.5%, and a number of other regions, including Moscow region, Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions".
As stated by L. Manitskaya, the situation is worrying because a significant part of falsified dairy products are supplied to social care institutions. So, in January-February this year the share of these products in the budget and state-owned enterprises was 45.2% — out of 637 samples there were detected 288 samples that did not meet the requirements of the Russian Federation and the EAEU.
