Manufacturer of coffee "Jacobs Rus " requests to exclude from the embargo list dry milk mixture with sugar

As it is noted in the letter, in 2014-2015, at the plant "Jacobs Rus" in Leningrad region there were implemented import-substituting investments in the amount of 800 million rubles for the production of coffee sachets "Tassimo". Within the framework of this project a production line has been installed, able to pack both coffee and dry milk mixture with sugar sachets for coffee machines.

To implement the project they adapted the production process at Belarusian "Lepelsk milk canning plant". In September 2016, the Russian Rosselkhoznadzor has suspended the import of products from JSC "Lepelsk milk canning plant" on the territory of Russia and LLC "Jacobs Rus" was deprived of the opportunity to supply raw materials needed for the production of milk containing sachets for coffee machines

"Stocks of raw milk has ended, it calls into question the sale of locally produced product and leads to a significant increase in the share of imported products of other market players in the segment of milk-containing coffee sachets. The return of the company to import of milk is not possible because of sanctions limitations on the supply of such mixtures from the EU, where there are few production units of such mixtures. This situation causes a negative reaction from investors of the company, who supported localization of high-tech food products at our retail partners on coffee sales ", said in LLC "Jacobs Rus", which is quoted by milknews.

We remind that in late August, the Rosselkhoznadzor informed that at carrying out of veterinary control of products manufactured by Belarusian Company JSC "Lepelsk milk canning plant" it is established that testing protocols on the basis of which the Declaration of conformity accompanying the product was adopted, had been issued before the old Declaration was revoked. The veterinary Department, according to The DairyNews, decided, to impose temporary restrictions on import of goods of the specified enterprise to the territory of the Russian Federation controlled by the state veterinary and phytosanitary service since August 31, 2016.
