The expert said that this trend is due to the seasonality of the market: the reduction in consumption is followed by an increase in demand for Easter.
– During Lent we always record a decrease in sales of dairy products by 14-16%. By Easter, we offer the consumer a curd cake, which is traditionally very popular. In addition, the demand is growing for cheese and whole milk products – said Koval.
Earlier we wrote that according to the reports of representatives of retail chains and analysts of the manufacturer of online cash registers "Evotor" in the first week of Lent in Russia there was no significant decline in sales of meat products.
