Marina Balabanova: Danone does not participate in the pilot experiment on milk labeling

- The consolidated opinion of our Association Soyuzmoloko - we believe that labeling is an excessive measure. There are no counterfeit products in the industry that the label fights. There is a problem of falsification, which labeling does not help for, - said Marina Balabanova, quoted by The DairyNews.

The expert explained that the company is not participating in the pilot primarily due to restrictions related to covid-19.

- We are not in the pilot because the active start of the experiment had to be postponed due to restrictions related to the coronavirus. We still do not allow business trips between factories and we have taken strict measures for the safety of employees. In order to minimize the risks, we decided that we could not open businesses for foreign specialists, which is what we told the CATD, the operator of labeling, - said Marina Balabanova.
