Measures of milk production increase in Russia are not sufficient. This is said in a conclusion of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation to the Government’s report devoted to anti-crisis plan implementation in 2015.
According to the Accounts Chamber, the efficiency of measures the Government plans to take in order to increase milk production in Russia in the nearest years is insufficient; the threshold level of the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation may not be reached as well as milk and dairy products consumption rates.
Investment projects selected by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2015 will allow to substitute 6% of import volumes (9.1 thousand tons in 2014). In 2015 the Ministry elected 166 investment projects involved in dairy farming and dairy processing, 3 projects in the frame of project financing. The expected volume of production in 2015-18 upon the mentioned projects and projects which started to get support before 2015 will exceed 520 thousand tons and will allow to substitute around 6% from import volumes.
