Mikhail Mishchenko: CIS countries can increase milk production to 180 million tons

According to Mikhail Mishchenko, Director of the Russian Dairy Research Center (RDRC), the Russian market should not be considered without taking into account the markets of neighboring Union States that are members of the EAEU, as well as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Moldova. He said this at the international conference "Future milk exporters in the global market" within the framework of the EuroTier exhibition.
- The CIS countries have an amazing potential for growth in milk production and with an increase in average productivity to at least 5 tons per cow per year, milk production in these countries together with Russia can grow to 180 million tons, - believes Mikhail Mishchenko.
In 2017, the total milk production in these countries amounted to 57.4 million tons.
