Mikhail Mishchenko: the demand for hotel services leads to an increase in the consumption of milk-containing products
The expert clarified that last year, contrary to many statements, the HoReCa segment showed positive dynamics. First, due to the growth of the hotel business, it was used by people who wanted to wait out the restrictions associated with the lockdown:
‘Since the lockdown was introduced, many residents of large cities have moved to country holiday homes and park hotels to wait out the restrictions, many have left for the regions. In July, when trips around the country became possible, residents of the capital went on vacation. So far, we see a growing demand for resorts in the south of Russia,’ Mikhail Mishchenko explained.
The expert also added that, despite the popular and long-standing opinion of market participants about the falling demand for dairy products, there is still a demand for it - consumers want to get a high-quality and interesting product.
