Milk intervention in Russia may start in July-August

State interventions on the dairy market could begin in July-August. This was stated to journalists by the Head of the Ministry of agriculture Alexander Tkachev, after the meeting in the government.
The launch of milk interventions will depend on the market situation, said the Head of the Ministry of agriculture.
"I think specifically in the peak of summer, when there is a period of great milk, the milk yield is high. As a rule, there is a reduction in milk prices. Maybe, in July and August we will try to apply this mechanism in fact", — said Tkachev.
He stressed that if there isn’t any critical drop of milk, the interventions might not be carried out.
