Raw milk prices may increase by 7-8% in Russia in 2015 in comparison with the current year. This is according to Vasily Redin, VEMA (Eastern European Dairy Alliance) Executive Director. As of September, 8th raw milk price in Russia increased by 0.7% compared to the previous week and reached 17.33 rubles per kg, follows from the Ministry of Agriculture data. Market experts say, in autumn seasonal price increase may reach 20% compared to July-August price. According to Vasily Redin, 7-8% increase in price in 2015 will be linked to inflation expectations and depend on economic climate in the country. Processors expect that the price in winter 2014-15 will not exceed 23-23.5 rubles, what is lower than a year ago.
