Milk production in agricultural enterprises amounted to 13.6 million tons

13.62 million tons of raw milk was produced in agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation from January to October 2018. This is evidenced by the operational data of Rosstat, reports The DairyNews.
On November 1, the production of cow's milk in the agricultural sector increased by 3.6% compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, in October, milk production in agricultural enterprises increased by 4.2% compared to October 2017 and amounted to 1.26 million tons.
Milk yield per cow in agricultural enterprises for ten months of the year increased by 3.1% and on November 1 amounted to 5450 kg. In October the average milk yield per cow in this sector of enterprises reached 511 kg of milk.
