Milk production in Novosibirsk region grew by one hundred tons per day

Agricultural producers of Novosibirsk region as of August 28, 2017 increased the number of cows by 1 399 heads in comparison with the same period last year. The milk yield per cow per day is higher by 0.7 kg and amounts to 12.7 kg, reports The DairyNews with a link to the website of the regional government.
We will remind that by results of work for seven months of 2017 Novosibirsk region entered the top five Russian regions for the production of milk.
As noted in the Ministry of agriculture of Novosibirsk region, since the beginning of the year the production has increased by 162 kg and amounts to 3 127 kg of milk. The volume of gross production of milk per day is 1 632 tons, which is 100 tons (7%) above the level of the corresponding period last year.
Since the beginning of the year, agricultural producers of Novosibirsk region produced 401,4 thousand tons of milk of the superior and first grade, or 24,3 tons above the level of 2016.
As noted in the Ministry of agriculture of Novosibirsk region, the trend of increase in milk production has been observed in the region since the beginning of 2017. This was made possible due to the sufficient availability of forages: last winter, farmers harvested 38.9 centners of feed units per animal unit.
