Milk production in Russia in January-September 2021 increased by 1.4%

This was told by Ekaterina Zakharova, a leading analyst at Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA), at the conference of Limagrain Group in Kazan.
Ekaterina Zakharova noted that in recent years milk production in Russia has been growing at a high rate, about 4% per year. In 2020, the volume of raw milk production reached 20.7 million tons, 5.6% more than in 2019 and 30% more than in 2013.
In 2021, the growth rate of milk production slowed down. In January-September 2021, the volume of milk production in Russia amounted to 15.9 million tons, 1.4% more than in January-September 2020. At the same time, in January-September 2020, production growth compared to 2019 was 6.1%.
According to DIA estimates, milk production in 2021 will amount to 21 million tons.
