Milk production in Russia is set to reach 31 mln tons in 2015

According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture forecast index of agricultural commodities production in 2015 will keep up with 2014 level. In 2014 index of agricultural commodities production reached 105% against 2013 in crop farming, 102.1% in livestock farming, index of food production including drinks (excluding tobacco) totaled 103.3%.
In 2014 Russian farmers harvested more than 105 mln tons of grain including record harvest of soybeans (2.54 mln tons) and rapeseed (1.45 mln tons). The industry managed to stop the recession of milk production level.
It is forecasted to harvest around 100 mln tons of grain in 2015, 37 mln tons of sugar beet, 7 mln tons of sunflower, to produce 13.2 mln tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter on a live weight basis, 31 mln tons of milk.
