Milk production in Russia may reach 31 million tons in 2019
Experts note that this growth has been observed annually since 2016, when the indicator decreased compared to the level of 2014-2015.
Also, in 2019, the export of dairy products (HS code 0401-06) is growing (excluding exports to the EAEU countries) in comparison with the level of 2018. Exports of these products in 2019 amounted to US $ 80.08 million versus US $ 70.97 million in 2018. The largest increase was shown by exports of cheese and cottage cheese, amounting to US $ 26.88 million. In 2018, this figure was US $ 19.34 million.
According to estimates of the Federal state budgetary institution "The center of Agroanalytics", the main importer of Russian dairy products remains Ukraine, which in 2019 increased its imports by another 3.1 million dollars. In comparison with the level of 2018, up to US $ 33.21 million. At the same time, it is worth noting a significant increase in the supply of cheese and cottage cheese to Ukraine from Russia: in 2019, they amounted to US $ 15.48 million versus US $ 9.45 million in 2018.
