Ministry of agriculture: milk production at agricultural enterprises increased by 3.7%
The greatest increase in milk production is observed at agricultural enterprises of Krasnodar region (+47.6 thousand tons or 9.2%), Voronezh (+38.9 thousand tons or 11.3%), Kaluga (+28.7 thousand tons or 19.4%), Novosibirsk (+20.8 thousand tons or 6.2%), Tyumen (+16.8 thousand tons or 9.7%) and Lipetsk regions (+16.1 thousand tons or 15.7%).
For seven months of the current year the average milk yield per 1 milking cow at agricultural enterprises not belonging to small businesses amounted to 3856 kg or 102 kg (+2.7%) more than the corresponding level in 2017.
The greatest increase in milk production was achieved in the Amur region (+491 kg), in Krasnodar region (+443 kg), in Penza region (+433 kg), in the Republic of Karelia (+428 kg) and in Kurgan region (+424 kg).
