Moscow and Moscow region cancel mandatory QR codes for cafes and restaurants
The heads of the regions linked their decisions with the success of the vaccination campaign: more than 3.8 million people received at least one dose of the vaccine against Covid in Moscow, and more than 2.4 million in Moscow region. This is about 30% of the population of the city and the region.
Since July 19, the system of QR codes in Moscow and Moscow region will become optional - institutions are no longer required to check their presence with visitors. At the same time, they can maintain a "Covid-free” conditions, which allow guests not to wear masks and gloves and not to observe social distance.
Restaurants that did not connect to the QR-code system will be able to open again, but they will have to comply with other anti-epidemic measures.
In Moscow, both categories of establishments are now allowed to work at night, and food courts will also be able to work.
In Moscow, night entertainment events banned in mid-June in clubs, bars, karaoke and discos are again allowed, if anti-epidemic measures are observed there. Their visitors will not need QR codes.
The recommendation to connect to the QR-code system for the capital's theaters, cinemas and concert halls has been canceled. Children's playrooms are being reopened (the visits there were restricted for more than a month).
Holding mass events with the participation of more than 500 people is still prohibited if the organizers do not use the QR-code system. At the same time, restrictions on the number of participants in mass events in cultural institutions have been lifted in Moscow region
The situation with the coronavirus in Moscow has really stabilized: if at the end of June more than 60 cases per day for every 100,000 residents were detected in the capital, now it is about 40, according to TASS calculations. In Moscow region, the indicator still exceeds 30, but in recent days, it started decreasing.
The growth rate of morbidity in Moscow since June 28 has been negative, and the infection rate, which shows how many people on average one infected person infect before his isolation, has been kept below one for ten days in a row. In Moscow region, the coefficient does not exceed 1 since July 8, and the rate of increase in morbidity became negative a week ago.
