Moscow region has become the leading region in the production of ice cream in the Central Federal district
"Moscow region is actively continuing to increase the production of ice cream. In total, 302.5 thousand tons of ice cream were produced in Russia in the first half of the year and more than 89 thousand tons in Moscow region during the same time. In other words, about 30% of ice cream in the country is produced by Moscow region", said Andrey Razin, Minister of agriculture and food in the region.
According to the Minister, only in the summer months, two large enterprises near Moscow launched new lines for the production of ice cream - Dmitrovsky dairy plant and Chistaya Liniya.
"With the launch of new lines for six months, we produced ice cream almost 2 times more than for the the last year. In 2019, the region produced 52.4 thousand tons of ice cream. And in terms of the share of exports of this product, the region is currently on the 6th place among the subjects of the Russian Federation", Razin said.
The largest producers of ice cream in the region are such enterprises as Chistaya Liniya, Froneri Rus, Laguna Coil, Dmitrovsky dairy plant, Russky Kholod, Il Mio Morozhenko.
