Nadezhda Shkolkina warned about the rise in milk prices
Now the latter is almost reduced to zero, Shkolkina added. ‘Price increases are inevitable, packaging has risen to 45% depending on the type, fuel - 21-26%, transportation, labeling has also contributed to the price increase,’ she continued, noting that manufacturers cannot keep their prices at zero profitability indefinitely.
According to the deputy, the agrarian committee will work out the proposals of representatives of the industry, who told the people's deputies about their problems and suggested solutions. Shkolina believes that the industry is in the so-called "scissors": on the one hand, the cost price is growing due to increased costs for feed, packaging, labeling, and on the other hand, there is total control over the final price.
‘I have always opposed price regulation,’ she said, ‘the support of the poor from the state or, for example, the adoption of the School Milk program, which has shown effectiveness in many regions, would be more effective.’
Earlier, a number of retailers of the dairy program notified about an increase in the cost of a part of the assortment by about 10% since February. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture does not expect a sharp increase in prices for dairy products in 2022.
