Nestlé has reported about 12% sales growth in the region Russia-Eurasia

The Head of "Nestle" in the region Russia-Eurasia Marcial Rolland said that sales growth was 12% and reached 114.4 billion rubles, reports The DairyNews.
Since January 2017 the Head of Nestlé in Russia and Eurasia became Marcial Rolland (editor’s note - before the Head was Maurizio Patarnello), which in the framework of the annual press conference introduced the results of the company’s performance by the end of 2016. Nestlé achieved sales growth of 12% compared to 2015, total sales of the company in the regions for which Mr. Rolland is responsible, amounted to 114.4 billion rubles.

Today the company Nestlé in Russia and Eurasia has 11 factories, 8 of them are located in Russia, 3 on the territory of Uzbekistan. "More than 90% of products sold in Russia is produced at the local level. 70% of raw materials are purchased locally and the company plans to increase this figure",- said the head of the company.

Answering the question of The DairyNews about expanding the number of sites, the Head of Nestlé noted that the number of sites depends on the possibility of localization of raw materials, as well as the matter of logic, which is today the main issue from the point of view of optimization.

In 2016 the company's investments in the Russian economy amounted to 4.1 billion rubles, so the company had strengthened its position in many categories. Speaking about the category "baby food" Mr. Rolland said that it makes 34.2%, and the company retains a leading position.

The Head of Nestlé in conclusion stressed that the company in 2017 will strengthen its presence with the opening of the Center of digital technologies.
