Nestle bought 14 mln tons of milk in 2014
Nestlé S.A., world's largest food and beverage company, purchases around 14 mln tons of milk and dairy products on milk basis annually. According to Rabobank Group rating, in 2014 Nestlé S.A. headed TOP-20 largest companies. In 2013 dairy products share in company’s turnover totaled 28,3 bln dollars. Out of 14 mln tons of milk and dairy products on milk basis around 50% - fluid milk and 50% - SMP and WMP. According to the data, published by Nestlé S.A. in the annual 2013 report, the group is operating 11 enterprises in Russia, producing coffee, confectionary, infant food, cookery, quick to make cereals, ice-cream and feeds for animals. In Russia the company employs around 10,000 people. The company’s income in Russia grew from 75.6 bln rubles in 2012 to 86,2 bln rubles in 2013, gross profit – from 39.1 bln rubles to 45.4 bln rubles accordingly.
