Nikolay Astafurov: the second traceability system is redundant for the dairy market
For the last two months, the “Pestravsky butter plant” has been operating in the “Mercury” system. Sometimes there are small technical issues in the organization of interaction with trade representatives; we hope to solve them in the near future.
- The official start of work in the system will certainly reveal additional problems that market participants do not see now - we will solve them, believes Nikolay Astafurov.
According to the expert, in the next two to three months after the official launch of the system, "Mercury" will not be a determining factor in the formation of the cost of finished products on the shelf. And, of course, within about a year, market participants will have a lot of questions, wishes and comments to the developers of "Mercury".
- We do not participate in the experiment on labeling of finished dairy products in the system "Honest mark" of the Center of advanced technology development (CATD). In my opinion, the second tracking system is redundant. It takes time to understand whether the “Mercury” system gives the results for which it was introduced. In case of introduction of one more system, there will be the clutter and competition of systems that unambiguously will complicate business, - declared Nikolay Astafurov.
