Nikolay Vlasov: EVC for finished dairy products will stop illegal circulation of raw milk
During the press conference the official noted that in the territory of the Russian Federation and the EAEU there are opponents of EVC for finished dairy products. This is, according to Mr. Vlasov, primarily due to the falsification.
- Last year, there was 24% of falsification. The Russian Federation produces about 60 billion packages a year; a quarter of them is falsified. Falsified products are imported through Kazakhstan, through Belarus, in transit, - said the official.
According to the expert, opponents of electronic veterinary certification note that its introduction is too expensive. However, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the average enterprise in the Russian Federation spends about 2 million rubles on a full run of EVC.
- The introduction of EVC on finished products will destroy falsified brands. Our task is to reduce the volume of falsification to 0.5%. With the introduction of EVC on finished dairy products illegal circulation of raw milk will stop. Moreover, after that it won’t be possible to make products under a foreign brand in the basement, - has concluded Nikolay Vlasov.
Currently, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor, about 2.5 million electronic veterinary certificates for finished dairy products are issued per month.
- It is still very little, after the transition to EVC for finished products, there will be registered up to 30 million electronic veterinary accompanying documents per month, - said Nikolay Vlasov.
Earlier, the official told how much the transition to EVC will cost to dairy enterprises.
