Now the cost of “EkoNiva” milk has slightly increased – Stefan Duerr
"This is due to the fact that we have to introduce certain security measures", he explained. I mean not only disinfection, but also more serious measures. We also use imported products, including packaging, and their cost is also higher.
As a result, as noted by Stefan Duerr, the impact of coronavirus on increasing the cost of milk is not direct, but indirect, more related to the devaluation of the ruble.
- And the devaluation of the ruble, in turn, is associated with a fall in the price of oil, – added Stefan Duerr. - Oil prices depend on two factors. First, OPEC, and second, coronavirus. All over the world, the economy has slowed down, so less oil is needed. As a result, the ruble fell, and since the cost of foreign packaging in foreign currency, it increased in price.
According to Stefan Duerr, the holding should increase the cost of products by 5-10%, but the purchasing power of the population – not very high – in such conditions will decrease even more.
