Oksana Lut: 150 million tons is a target for grain for the next five years
- Internal security on the majority of positions has been reached, there are small deviations on vegetables grown in greenhouses, there are deviations on dairy products, but this industry is the most supported at the moment, – commented Lut.
The Deputy Minister also added that it is necessary to increase the production of wheat.
- Together with the regions a five – year plan for the cultivation of cereals has been developed, 150 million tons is a target for grain for five years. The use of the right technologies will contribute to the achievement of this goal, – said the Deputy Minister of agriculture.
The second export position is oil according to Oksana Lut. In her opinion, the main task of the Ministry is raw materials.
- It is necessary to increase the raw material base 2.5 times. A number of regions increases the volume of rapeseed, many are switching to soy, - concluded Oksana Lut.
