In its current form, labeling is an unjustified and unnecessary measure that carries nothing but a burden for the business. This was stated by Chairman of the Union of Russian cheesemakers Oleg Sirota during an interview with IA ASP, writes The DairyNews.
- If the labeling is introduced in the form in which it is proposed now, our company can be closed, - he said. – They ask us to label all products, each bottle. It is impossible to do this, we will have three large plants in the country.
Earlier, Industry unions of the Russian Federation asked to cancel the notification procedure for the introduction of labeling in the EAEU countries.
