On September 17 the Rosselkhoznadzor will discuss with Kazakhstan the import of animal products to Russia
"The negotiations will be held by Savenkov (Konstantin Savenkov - Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor – TASS notes) with the service (of Kazakhstan - TASS notes)", - said Dankvert.
According to him, the Kazakh side asked to postpone the decision on issue of traceability of supplies from October 1 for an indefinite period. "I said that for my part I can only give one month of the transition period, because it is beyond the possible", - said the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
He noted that it is very important to understand from where products are supplied to Russia, and Kazakhstan does not provide such an opportunity. "The lack of traceability will lead to the fact that we simply will not accept these products. If you deliver them to us, show us where they came from", Dankvert said.
On September 13, the official representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor Yulia Melano informed the journalists that the department could impose restrictions on import of animal products from Kazakhstan since October 1, 2018 due to the lack of transparency of their supply and production. According to her, now Kazakh livestock products come accompanied by documents that do not allow to accurately determine the place of origin of raw materials and often the place of production of finished products, and can pose a risk to the health of Russian consumers and the epizootic well-being of the country.
At the same time, as noted by Melano, the Kazakh side without explanation does not comply with the terms of implementation of the schedule of integration of the Single automated control system of agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federal state information system"Vetis".
