Over 7 years, 27 dairy farms have been built in Ryazan region with a total cost of almost 15 billion rubles – Ministry of Agriculture

The construction of new farms made it possible to increase milk production in Ryazan region more than 1.5 times in 7 years – by 58%.

The ministry also noted that for 10 months of 2021, 469 thousand tons of raw milk was produced in farms of all categories in Ryazan region, which is 8.4% more than in the corresponding period of 2020.

Agricultural enterprises produced 425 thousand tons of milk, the growth in the industrial sector is 9.7%. The productivity of dairy cows in agricultural enterprises increased by 510 kg to the level of 2020 and amounted to 7146 kg per forage-fed cow.

The largest volumes of raw milk are produced in agricultural organizations of Ryazan, Shatsk, Rybnoу, Pitelino and Alexander Nevsky districts.

Milk production in the region has been steadily growing for several years due to an increase in livestock, the construction of new modern complexes and an increase in cow productivity. So, in 2021, three new dairy complexes with a total number of 5,300 cows were opened at once: in Ryazan, Spassk and Rybnoу districts. The preparation of a site for the construction of a new dairy complex in Kasimov district has also begun, which will ensure further growth.

In addition, Ryazan cows began to produce more milk, and this is the result of the painstaking work of breeding enterprises. The average yield per cow in Ryazan region is 16% higher than the average Russian level and 8% higher than the average yield in the Central Federal District.

At the same time, not only the quantity, but also the quality of milk is growing. Ryazan milk has achieved high quality indicators, which have never been before – in terms of milk purity (low content of microorganisms and somatic cell count) and nutritional value (high protein content).
