Parmesan will not be removed from the list of sanctioned products. It will remain in it along with other types of foreign cheeses.
The Izvestia reports, that according to Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev there are no plans to exclude parmesan from the list of sanctioned products, and the products of Russian cheesemakers are no worse than foreign ones.
‘I repeat, our cheese is no worse. However, there are different aspects for which this or that product remains on the sanctions list. Well, it will probably remain there,’ he said.
The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture suggested that foreign producers develop their business on Russian territory if they want to sell cheeses here. According to Patrushev, foreign companies can make cheeses from Russian milk.
