Pedigree heifers were brought to the agricultural enterprise ROTA-AGRO Blagoveshchenie
The company reported that experts selected 148 pregnant heifers of Holstein breed in the breeding plant Aksinino.
Oleg Reminny, Executive Director of ROTA-AGRO Blagoveshchenie, said that now the livestock is under quarantine, which will last 21 days.
‘The animals spent about four hours on the road under the supervision of veterinarians, they feel well. Since the climatic conditions on our farm are familiar to them – within the same region, I think that the adaptation period will be short. Now all the necessary veterinary and sanitary measures - diagnostic tests and planned vaccinations - are being carried out with the livestock,’ he said.
According to Oleg Reminny, the first calving of the new livestock will begin in July and will be completed by the end of the year.
We remind, this is the second batch of pedigree animals, which was brought to ROTA-AGRO Blagoveshchenie for 8 months.
In September last year, 204 Holstein heifers were delivered to the farm of the agricultural holding from the Kingdom of Denmark. In the near future, the next delivery of heifers to the agricultural enterprise is expected.
