PepsiCo has expanded the trademark “Lamber”

The company Wimm-Bill-Dann (part of PepsiCo) informed The DairyNews about the expansion of the trademark "Lamber" under which cheese has been produced in Altai region since 2003. Now 4 varieties of yellow cheeses popular among Russians will be added to the line, some of which will be produced under the control of PepsiCo in the Republic of Belarus.

Cheese under the trademark of "Lamber" under a unique recipe was first published in 2003. This is a traditional rennet cheese that has been produced at the Rubtsovsky dairy plant in Altai region since 2003. For a long time, the only type of cheese was produced under the trademark "Lamber".

- Studying the consumption of yellow cheeses, we saw that most often people's diets include several types of cheeses, because our consumer likes variety. Therefore, another type of "Lamber" - Cream - first appeared in the range of the brand "Lamber", and later - sliced "Tilsiter". In July 2020, the brand "Lamber" launched a whole line of cheeses in bars of 180 g: four traditional varieties of cheese that are very popular with Russian consumers: Dutch, Gouda, Maasdam, Tilsiter, - commented in the press service of PepsiCo.

The company stressed that they fully control the production process. However, they did not disclose where the production of raw materials for the new line is located. As it was found out, the packaging, for example, of Tilsiter produced under the trademark "Lamber" indicates that the cheese is produced in Belarus and packaged at the PirPak factory.

- Traditional balls weighing 1 kg under the brand "Lamber" Classic and Cream, which the Russian consumer is already used to, we continue to produce at the Rubtsovsky dairy plant. We produce new varieties at the enterprises of our partners", noted in PepsiCo.

The company positively assesses the prospects of the yellow cheese market, saying that this is a large part of the market of all cheeses in Russia, and this sector is actively growing.

- The segment of bars with an exact weight of 150-300 g is currently developing most dynamically. This is a convenient solution for our customers: they do not need to organize cheese cutting zones in retail outlets, weigh them. In addition, it is convenient for our consumers: they buy a ready-made, factory-packed product; they do not need to wait until the seller is free and can cut off the necessary piece. New products were released in July, and in the near future we will focus on building distribution and communicating information about new products to the consumer. Also, the company will continue to support its main range of "Lamber" - a 1 kg ball of Classic 50% and Cream 55%, packed ¼ balls with a fixed weight, as well as sliced "Tilsiter" 150 g, - PepsiCo stressed.
