Preliminary inspection of the quality of cheese intended for baby food started in Moscow
The State inspection of the city of Moscow on quality of agricultural products, raw materials and food (Mosgik) - is the subordinated to the Government of Moscow Executive authority of the capital. It implements the city policy and ensures control over the quality and safety of agricultural products, raw materials and food produced and/or sold on the territory of the city of Moscow, with the exception of control in the field of food safety in veterinary and sanitary terms.
- In continuation of the work carried out on preliminary laboratory control of butter, drinking milk, condensed milk with sugar, drinking bottled water and fruit juices intended for the organization of nutrition of children and teenagers in educational institutions of Moscow, before the start of the new school year Mosgik started similar work regarding cheese, - said in a statement of the city hall.
Laboratory studies are conducted in the testing laboratory center of the Federal budgetary institution of health care "Ccenter of hygiene and epidemiology in Moscow".
According to the chief of Mosgik Irina Kalinovskaya, the mentioned products are sent to the nutrition units of educational institutions for use in the diet of children and teenagers only after obtaining satisfactory laboratory results.
We will remind, a year ago it was reported that Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov buys butter at a price of 205.04 rubles/kg for the needs of a boarding school for gifted children. According to experts, the product at this price is a falsification and the average price of production of butter in our country at that time exceeded 380 rubles/kg.
