Preparation for the abolition of EVC for finished dairy products may be delayed until July 4

The Ministry of agriculture has published a draft of changes in the veterinary rules for the organization of work on the registration of electronic veterinary accompanying documents, the discussion of the document will last until July 4, writes The DairyNews. Independent anti-corruption examination of the document of changes in the list of goods to be accompanied by EVAD (electronic veterinary accompanying documents) will also last until the specified date.
The paragraph 6 of item 8 of the rules is offered to be stated in the following edition: certificates on veterinary and sanitary well-being of farms are provided for a period of no more than 1 month (at transportation of raw milk, cream, raw skimmed milk from farms - suppliers to the milk processing enterprises and at transportation of products of beekeeping to processing enterprises).
Paragraph 16 is proposed to be supplemented with the seventh paragraph to read as follows: "raw milk, raw cream, raw skimmed milk, when these products are transported by the owner to the food (agricultural) market, where the veterinary and sanitary examination of milk and dairy products is carried out".
In addition, it is indicated that in the case of registration of veterinary accompanying documents for raw milk before its receipt at the milk processing enterprise or at the place of carrying out veterinary and sanitary examination the indication of approximate volume (weight, quantity) of the transported goods under control with further specification of this volume in the destination is allowed.

Despite the statement of the Deputy Prime Minister for agriculture Alexey Gordeev that since July 1 only products, for which paper veterinary certificates are currently issued will switch to electronic veterinary certification, i.e. finished products will not be included in this system, there are no official documents on this decision yet, reminds The DairyNews.
Meanwhile, the independent anti-corruption examination of the draft document withdrawing finished dairy products from the action of EVC, will last until July 4.
According to the sources of The DairyNews in the State Duma, currently in the State Duma is working on a draft amendment to the relevant law, which will introduce an adaptation period for producers in the work with EVC. It is assumed that during the adaptation period, finished products in consumer containers will be excluded from the action of the “Mercury” system.
