Prices at the Global Dairy Trade auction continue to decline
The weighted average price for dairy products at the 288th auction of GDT was 3.839 USD/kg. Taking into account the weakening of the ruble against the dollar compared to the previous auction, the weighted average price of dairy products in the Russian currency decreased by 0.8% to 285.4 rubles/kg, which is 23.9% higher than in July 2020.
In total, 22,405 tons of dairy products were sold at the auction, 1.8 thousand tons less than at the previous auction. The number of bidders is 154.
At the auction, prices for butter (-0.8%), whole milk powder (-3.8%), skimmed milk powder (-5.2%), dehydrated milk fat (-0.3%) and lactose (-8.9%) decreased, while the price of cheddar increased by 1.3%.
The next Global Dairy Trade auction will be held on August 3, 2021.
