Since the beginning of summer, our country has introduced mandatory labeling of cheeses and ice cream. This year, the innovation will become mandatory for almost all dairy producers. Sirota explained which products will have the most noticeable price changes.
‘This will hundred-percent affect the price growth. On cheese, this will not be so noticeable, because cheese is already quite an expensive product. However, prices for other dairy products will definitely rise by the end of the year. Yogurt and milk will rise in price at least by a couple of rubles,’ the expert said.
The specialist said that he did not understand the new labeling rules and did not see any sense in it. As he noted, the labeling protects the packaging from falsification, not the goods.
