Prices for finished dairy products in Karelia have not changed – Vladimir Labinov
According to the expert, the change in prices is influenced by such market factors as the cost of raw materials, packaging and other costs included in the cost of production.
‘Karelian milk processing enterprises produce a wide range of dairy products with short shelf lives, and therefore a large share of them is sold on the territory of the Republic of Karelia, including in stores of federal retail chains. The price range is not wide. Depending on the specific terms of the contracts of individual enterprises with retail, the cost varies insignificantly, the price level corresponds to the average for products imported from outside the republic,’ said Vladimir Labinov.
He also added that currently regional enterprises of the industry are actively getting ready for the introduction of mandatory digital labeling of dairy products, which, according to the expert, may also have an impact on price changes.
We remind that the Motor Rally "Make way for milk!" will take place from August 2 to 5, 2021; its participants will visit Leningrad region, Karelia and Vologda region.
