Problems with investment of technological modernization are increasing in the dairy industry
According to the expert, who assessed the impact of sanctions and counter sanctions of the Russian Federation, introduced in 2014 on the dairy industry, representatives of foreign capital, financial and agro-industrial groups, which have repeatedly increased the volume of investment in the dairy industry of Russia, won most of all.
Vladimir Surovtsev noted that during the implementation of investment projects transnational financial and agro-industrial groups competently use the possibility of obtaining cheap credit resources abroad, which have become inaccessible for Russian banks as well as for domestic producers.
- International financial and agro-industrial groups, implementing projects for five to ten thousand or more dairy cows acquire market power in the regions, putting medium-sized producers in a difficult price situation. The "traditional", average producer, for example the former large state farm with a livestock of one thousand cows, begins to lose at the regional market both on expenses, and on quality since it works in accordance with the technologies conceding in productivity of all types of resources, in safety of milk, and also in "political and market influence". Only the largest domestic producers can compete, such as "Komos-group", "Zalesskoye moloko", "Molvest", some others, as well as a few farms that have had time to complete the reconstruction of production sites, headed by truly talented managers, as a rule, owners. Such managers and farms are present in all regions, but there are not so many of them, and their problems with investing into technological modernization, which is a continuous process in the dairy industry, are growing as well, - the expert said.
