"Prodimex" and "EkoNiva" will put into operation 3 dairy farms in Voronezh region within the framework of the joint project in 2018-19
Three farms of 2.8 thousand heads each will be opened in Bobrov, Anna and Buturlinovka districts. The design capacity of each farm will be 80 tons of milk per day.
"One of the farms will be opened in Bobrov district, in 2019 the farms in Anna and Buturlinovka districts will be opened", - said V. Eryzhenskiy.
According to him, the animals of Holstein-Friesian breed will be imported to farms, currently "EkoNiva" is engaged in the purchase.
In the framework of joint production "Prodimex" provides land assets and "EkoNiva" will be directly engaged in the production, said V. Eryzhenskiy.
The company does not disclose details of cooperation, the volume of investments and the distribution of profits, he said.
V. Eryzhenskiy explained that the decision to implement a joint project with “EkoNiva” was made on the basis of the success of implemented dairy projects of “EkoNiva” and the need of the Company for a land bank, as well as the need for “Prodimex” to replace inefficient and unprofitable assets. "Firstly, “EkoNiva” is a major and experienced player in the dairy market, who has learned to implement projects in the dairy industry successfully. Secondly, “EkoNiva” is widely represented in Voronezh region, as well as “Prodimex”. Thirdly, “EkoNiva” is in need of land assets and partners, and we need to replace inefficient and unprofitable assets for new and effective projects", - said V. Eryzhenskiy.
“Prodimex” is the leading sugar producer in Russia and the largest land owner. Its land bank exceeds 600 thousand hectares located in Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk, Tambov and Penza regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol areas and in Bashkiria.
The holding includes 15 sugar factories, which are able to process more than 70 thousand tons of sugar beet per day. During the year, the production sector of the group produces more than 1 million tons of sugar, more than 250 thousand tons of pelleted pulp and other products. The agricultural holding also has a dairy business.
Agricultural divisions of "Prodimex" annually grow more than 3.5 million tons of sugar beet and more than 0.5 million tons of grain.
The group “EkoNiva” is the largest producer of raw milk in Russia. At the end of 2018, the production volume will reach about 500 thousand tons, in 2019 - 0.9-1.1 million tons, the company predicts. The group “EkoNiva” has been engaged in agricultural production since 2002, it is composed of two separate holdings - LLC "EkoNiva-APK Holding" (dairy and beef cattle breeding, crop and seed production) and LLC "EkoNiva-Tekhnika Holding" (supply of imported agricultural machinery, technical maintenance and spare parts).
According to the analytical system "SPARK-Interfax", "EkoNiva-APK holding" was established in Voronezh region in September 2007. It is 99% owned by the German Ekoland GmbH, the parent company of which is Ekosem Agrar GmbH.
The agricultural enterprises of the company “EkoNiva-APK” operate in Voronezh, Kursk, Novosibirsk, Kaluga, Orenburg and Tyumen regions. As of October this year, the land bank is more than 460 thousand hectares.
